Program Objectives
After this workshop, participants will be able to:
- • Explain how an improvisational mindset and adaptive engagement methods
can complement foundational quality improvement models.
- • Describe the Six Guiding Principles of Quality Improv(e) and the
Simple Tools to Ignite Change Toolkit and how to apply them.
- • Use easy-to-learn tools and techniques that foster teamwork, collaboration
and courageous quality improvement.
Program Description
We can’t do it alone. More than ever before, healthcare needs people
who can successfully collaborate with their colleagues, patients and families
to deliver on the promise of high quality, affordable care and exceptional
experience. While we often know
what needs to be done from a quality improvement standpoint, the
how to work together to do it can be challenging. In this hands-on, high-energy
workshop you’ll explore the science of improvement and learn a complimentary
structure for teamwork and collaboration based on techniques used in improvisational
theater. Reframe and revitalize your improvement efforts with tools to
help you become more flexible, agile and supportive as you co-design solutions
that make an impact.
Target Audience
All medical staff, licensed healthcare providers, healthcare leadership,
and healthcare providers from all disciplines.
