Kaweah Delta to host Sept. 28 "Stop the Bleed" seminar in Visalia
VISALIA – Kaweah Delta’s Trauma Department will host a free
seminar on Thursday, Sept. 28, to teach people how to save a life in a
The seminar will take place from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Sequoia Regional Cancer
Center, 4945 W. Cypress Ave., Visalia. To attend this event, please RSVP

Injury results from a wide variety of causes, including accidents or intentional
harm, and in a wide variety of locations, such as homes or workplaces.
This seminar will teach people what they can do with basic products such
as tourniquets to help themselves or others before help arrives.
“Uncontrolled bleeding is the No. 1 cause of preventable death from
trauma. The more people who know how to control bleeding in an injured
patient, the greater the chance there is of surviving that injury,”
said Amber Woods, Kaweah Delta’s trauma program manager, who along
with other members of the trauma program will speak at the seminar. “It’s
