Is Kaweah Health Affiliated With A Medical School?
Yes. Kaweah Health has been formally affiliated with the University of Southern California at Keck School of Medicine since 2019.
What Is The Housing Situation In Visalia?

What Are The Other Kaweah Health Graduate Medical Education Programs?
Kaweah Health currently has ACGME accredited residency programs in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Transitional Year, Surgery, Psychiatry and a fellowship program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. All PGY-1 Psychiatry Residents complete three months in Family Medicine and one month in Emergency Medicine. However, any resident on a given service will be afforded the same treatment, responsibilities and privileges as any other resident at the same level and experiences, regardless of specific residency. We encourage close working synergies between residents of all programs. It is the commitment of the Office of Graduate Medical Education to avoid conflicts between services and to maximize educational experiences for all of our residents by seamless integration of our programs where they intersect.
Does Kaweah Health Have Child Care Available?
Yes. Kaweah Kids Center is located at our downtown campus, next to the main hospital, for children 0-5 years old and is licensed under Title 22 of the State of California’s Community Care Licensing agency. Additional information on how to apply, waitlist and rates are available upon request.
Do You Allow Observership Positions?
No.
Will Your Program Sponsor My Visa?
Our program will consider J-1 VISAs sponsored through the ECFMG. We do not sponsor VISAs at this time.
