In the Family Medicine Center (FMC), residents practice alongside their program faculty to see patients of all ages in this hospital-owned community health center. It is part of a multi-site community health system including several rural clinics. The FMC utilizes a fully functional Electronic Health Record (Cerner) that is integrated with laboratory and radiologic services and has full electronic prescribing capabilities. The records can be securely accessed from any internet connected computer, smart phone, or tablet device to facilitate patient care. The clinic’s mission is to provide quality, cost-conscious health care to the area’s uninsured and underinsured population emphasizing prevention and wellness, individual dignity and cultural sensitivity while partnering with others to improve the health and well-being of our community.
