2020 Holiday Safety Precautions
We’re putting the health and safety of our community FIRST this Thanksgiving.
We know it won’t be easy, but with COVID-19 cases on the rise, we’re
limiting our gatherings and loving our family and friends enough not to
see them this Thanksgiving. We encourage everyone to keep wearing their
face masks, washing their hands and social distancing, so we can prevent
the spread of COVID.

Lahu:
Hi, how’s everyone doing? My name is Nelay See. I work for Kaweah
Delta Hospital as an Interpreter.
Today, I’m here to deliver a message in Lahu. The holiday’s
for me this year will be a lot different from the previous years. During
Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year, I love to get together and spend
time with my friends and family, but this year I will miss out all that
and won’t be seeing them due to COVID-19. Just to be on the safe
side. I love my friends and family so much, that I will be staying home.
This will help stop spreading viruses such as COVID-19, for we may not
know who is carrying the virus. I will be meeting them through facetime,
video chat and social media.
So everyone, please don’t forget to wash your hands, put masks on
when going outside and be social distancing at least 6 feet apart. By
doing all these, we are helping one another to prevent the spread. Let’s
continue to put it into practice. Thank you.

I am here today to show love to my family and talk with my Portuguese committee
about our holidays this year in our world of covid. It is very important
to show love to our family by not getting together during this time because
we don’t want our family to get sick. It is very important that
everyone wear their masks, wash their hands, and not stand close to one
another. This is a sacrifice that we are making now, but with this sacrifice,
we will be able to be together in the future. May you have a Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year.

Hi, I'm Joti Dhillon from Kaweah Delta. COVID-19 has changed how we
celebrate the holidays. As we head into the holidays, we encourage you
to love your family enough not to see them this holiday season. COVID-19
cases are on the rise in our community, and we need to work together to
prevent the spread.
As a family, we'll be celebrating in the following ways:
- it will be just our immediate family
- we'll Facetime or Zoom with our family
- outside of our home, we'll do everything we can to prevent the spread
of COVID-19 -- wear face masks, wash our hands, and social distance.
Please join me in loving you family enough not to see them in person this
holiday season. Let's keep our loved ones safe, and our community
will benefit. Here's to wishing you a safe and happy holiday season.
