Aerobic Group Exercise Classes are offered in the two exercise studios, equipped with state-of-the-art
aerobic floor and stereo equipment. Classes at beginning, intermediate and advanced
levels are included in your membership and are taught by certified, professional
instructors. Classes offered include more than 70 aerobic classes and 40 aquatic
classes each week. The wide variety of classes will peak any interest ranging
from therapeutic aquatic classes to monthly specialty classes and more.
Class Descriptions
Arms / Legs / Core
A 6-week self-progressive class focusing on development of the upper and lower
extremities, body positions, movement skills, core strengthening, flexibility,
stability, and balance. Perfect for anyone wanting to improve basic conditioning
and strength.
Body Bar Challenge
A full body weight resistance class utilizing the Body Bar to sculpt and tone
the entire body. Intermediate to advanced fitness levels.
Box-N-Kick
Combining kick & boxing techniques for cardiovascular conditioning.
Breathing Easy (Pulmonary
Rehab Phase II)
Graduation from phase I Pulmonary Rehab or doctors referral required prior to
participating in this class.
Circuit Step
3-5 minutes of stepping with 1-3 minute intervals of weight resistance training.
CWLD - Country-Western
Line Dancing
Needs no partner. Popular line dances are explained , demonstrated and practiced.
F. I. T. (Fitness
Interval Training)
F.I.T. combines strength training with cardiovascular intervals. This class
will focus on challenging your balance, stability and core strength. Utilizing
gliders, resist-a-balls and BOSU balls, this class is essential for strengthening
and conditioning your core.
Flex-N-Tone
A full body weight resistance class utilizing variations of props to tone and
sculpt the entire body. Appropriate for all fitness levels.
Healthy Heart
For the post cardiac rehab patient and other individuals with special needs.
Includes a blood pressure check, stretching, choice of cardiovascular exercise,
and weight resistance exercises. A fitness evaluation is required prior to participating
in this class.
Karate
Kenbudokan Goju Ryu, a traditional martial art that stresses body conditioning,
self-defense, self confidence and self discipline.
Kids Karate
Kid’s program teaching fundamental self-defense techniques in a game-oriented
atmosphere.
Low Impact
Lower intensity class for the majority of those starting an aerobics program.
Maternity-in-Motion(M-n-M)

Pre-natal class for women in all stages of pregnancy and all fitness levels.
Physician’s release and minimum of 2 participants required.
MVe [Pilates MVe Series]
A high energy group fitness experience that combines strength, flexibility and
endurance to heart pumping music for a full-body workout. Pre-registratrion
required.
Osteo-Pilates*
Perfect for beginners. Improve strength, balance, and flexibility by coordination
of breath and movement. Safe for those with osteoporosis and aides in prevention.
Pilates Mat*
Mat class emphasizing Pilates fundamentals, principals, and basic exercise.
Variations and modifications accommodate all levels and abilities. Props may
be used when appropriate to enhance the workout.
Senior Fitness
Lower intensity aerobic class for seniors and those with limited physical abilities.
S. A. Q. - Held
in multi-purpose gymnasium
Great for athletes, this speed, agility, & quickness class focuses on specific
movements that enhances the athlete’s ability to read and react powerfully
at the highest speed possible.
Sit-N-Be Fit
30-min. class instructed from a chair, for individuals with limiting physical
conditions. Includes activities designed to improve strength and flexibility,
as well as enhancing healthy attitudes for fun and fitness.
Spinning
Cardiovascular and endurance class using a stationary cycle. Appropriate for
all fitness levels as intensity is individually controlled.
Spin-N-Core
Begins with a cardiovascular segment utilizing a stationary cycle and incorporating
an abdominal exercise segment during the last half of class. Appropriate for
all fitness levels as intensity is individually controlled.
Spin-Circuit
Combination of cardiovascular intervals of cycling with intervals of weight
resistance training. Guaranteed to give you a great full-body workout.
Steady Steps
Balance and coordination class focusing on strengthening the body’s different
balance systems by performing specialized movements in a circuit format. Includes
regularly scheduled balance assessments to track progress.
Step
Intermediate to advanced levels. Involves using an elevated platform and light
choreography. An orientation class is highly recommended.
Step N Flex
Slower paced step class concentrating on muscle conditioning to increase muscular
tone through the use of correct form and technique. See Step definition.
Tai Chi
Combines self defense with physical and mental fitness through slow continuous
movements. Designed to impart powerful physical skills and stimulate the flow
of energy within the body.
TLC Afterschool Kidz Klub

Class for children ages 5 to 12 years focusing on exercise through fun activities,
play, games and sports. Meets Mon. - Thurs. Contact the activities dept. for
information.
Yoga*
75-minunte class of specific Hatha style yoga incorporating different poses
to explore the inner structures of the body, mind and spirit.
Zumba
A mixture of body sculpting movements and easy to follow dance steps to Latin
and international music. Routines feature interval training principles to a
combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body and maximizes
fat burning potential.
Instructors Certified by AFAA, ACE or COS
* These classes require participants
to be on time. For safety reasons, you will not be permitted to participate
in Yoga or Pilates if more than 5 minutes late.
