At Kaweah Delta, we provide a comprehensive approach to wound care to help our patients heal quickly. Our team of skilled therapists has more than 50 years of experience in wound care and access to nutritionists and lymphedema specialists - all of which helps to increase the speed of healing. Our clinic is designed to complement the primary care physician by providing highly specialized care for chronic wounds. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is just one way Kaweah Delta's Wound & Hyperbaric Center helps wounds heal. Using one of two special pressurized chambers, we administer high-dose oxygen at a pressure greater than sea level allowing high concentrations of oxygen to dissolve into your blood and tissues.

The following conditions can be treated with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy:

  • Wounds that have not healed with other treatments after at least 30 days (such as a diabetic foot ulcer)
  • Bone infections such as osteomyelitis
  • Gas gangrene
  • Necrotizing soft tissue infection
  • Skin grafts not healing
  • Radiation injuries
