Kaweah Delta Breast Center is dedicated
exclusively to comprehensive imaging services for women. It is a state-of-the-art facility that is the first of its kind in the Central Valley. We are fully accredited by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Our mammography specialists at Kaweah Delta Breast Center are highly trained,
experienced technologists with many years of combined experience in breast imaging.

WE PROVIDE SOFTER MAMMOGRAM IMAGING

Kaweah Delta Breast Center is a certified Softer Mammogram Provider, a distinction awarded only to an elite group of healthcare facilities.

The FDA-cleared foam cusion, called MammoPad®, creates a softer, warmer
mammogram. MammoPad® has been clinically demonstrated to reduce discomfort for most women.

WE PROVIDE ALL DIGITAL MAMMOGRAPHY

Digital mammography has been shown to provide detailed image quality and may be better for some women then traditional film mammography.

Kaweah Delta Breast Center is home to Visalia's first digital mammography units. A digital
mammogram uses a special detector to capture and convert x-ray energy into digital data. Digital technology also offers better visibility of the entire breast. In addition, digital now makes the
mammogram process faster than film and is available to the Radiologist electronically and almost instantly for quicker and better results.

The combination of full-field digital mammogram equipment with a new breast cushion
dramatically eases the discomfort many women feel when they get a mammogram, making this new technology the number one choice for patients when seeking this type of professional care.

BREAST MRI

The Breast Center at Kaweah Delta Imaging Center became the only breast center in town with this type of technology.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a non-invasive way of viewing organs, soft tissues, bone and other internal body structures without the use of x-rays. Detailed MR images allow physicians to better evaluate parts of the body for conditions that may not be visible with other imaging methods (such as x-ray, ultrasound, or computed tomography (CT) scan). MRI has proven very valuable in diagnosing a broad range of conditions, including cancer, heart and vascular disease, stroke and musculoskeletal disorders.

MRI of the breast is not a replacement for mammography or ultrasound imaging but rather is a supplemental tool for detecting and staging breast cancer and other breast abnormalities.

BREAST HEALTH EDUCATION LINE

Kaweah Delta Breast Center has had an RN in the role of Breast Health Educator since the inception and is the only breast center in the Central Valley to have an RN Nurse Education or staff.
