Kaweah Delta Staff donates more than $10,000 to FoodLink and the Samaritan Center

Posted Date: 12/22/2008

680 members of the Kaweah Staff are donating their Christmas Save Mart gift cards to support the hungry in Tulare County with a combined total of $10,200 going to these two organizations.

At 10:30 AM Lindsay Mann will make the presentation of these gift cards to FoodLink for Tulare County and to the Samaritan Center.

The staff at Kaweah Delta daily does wonderful things for people, as they care for the sick and their families. But during the holidays they reached deeper into their hearts to say we care and we care deeply for the needy, the ill and the less fortunate old and young.

During this time of year the Kaweah Delta Health Care District likes to personally thank each member of our staff for their commitment and contribution for the many accomplishments of the District. As a token of their gratitude staff receive SaveMart gift cards. In the spirit of giving, many staff donate their gift card to FoodLink and the Samaritan Center to help fill the empty pantries of those who are less fortunate. 680 members of the Kaweah Staff gave their $15 Save Mart gift cards to support the hungry in Tulare County with a total of $10,200 to be presented to these two organizations. Sandy Beals will be in attendance to receive the $5,100 donation to FoodLink for Tulare County and Bill Whitlatch of the Samaritan Board of Directors will be on site to receive the Samaritan Center gift.
