Accessing Kaweah Delta’s Wireless Guest Network

For Windows XP: Wireless Managed by Windows

  1. Go to Start menu, select Settings, then Control Panel.
  2. Select the Network Connection icon. Then right click and select Properties.
  3. Click on the Wireless Networks tab, and then click on the Add button.
  4. In the SSID field add guest in lower case then make sure you have Open for Network Authentication and Disabled for Data encryption.
  5. Click OK twice, and you should be on the wireless network.




For Windows XP: Wireless Not Managed by Windows

  1. Right click the Wireless Utility icon on the Quick Launch toolbar on the right side of the Task Bar and click Open Intel PROSet/Wireless
  2. Click the Add button in the Profiles dialog box


  1. Under General Settings, type KDH in the Profile Name field. Type guest in the SSID field (Must be lower case)
  2. Select Network Infrastructure for the Operating Mode.
  3. Click Security Settings.
  1. Then select None from the drop-down list.
  2. Click OK then wait for the wireless to connect. You should receive a message saying you are connected:


For Windows 2000:

Depending on what network card you are using (Linksys, DLink, Cisco, Netgear):
  1. Open the client utility for your wireless card and add the SSID of guest all in lower case.
  2. Make sure you have Open for Network Authentication and Disabled for Data encryption.

Note: Please make sure your wireless card is set to DHCP so it can acquire an IP address.
