Aisha Umbreen, MD

Why did you choose FM?
I decided to go into Family Medicine for its breadth of care and its compassionate and community-based
approach to primary care. I have always been inclined to promote my career in Family Medicine because of its unique role in improving the health standards by
providing preventive care and treating the whole person of all ages.
Why Kaweah Delta?
I was extremely impressed by
the quality of the program. It offers a wide range of opportunities for training
and learning in Family Medicine. On the day of my interview I found the faculty to be very cooperative and accommodating and their focus on the
quality of teaching was exceptionally remarkable. Overall, I am convinced the program will help me to accomplish my objective to become a competent
physician in Family Medicine. The proximity of Visalia to my place of residence
at around a 3 hour drive is an additional plus.
Favorite places to eat in
Visalia offers excellent food
options for everyone. My favorite places to eat are The Vintage Press, Tandoori
House and Pita Kabob Grill.
My interests outside medicine
include exploring new Smart phone applications, cooking new recipes, traveling
and spending quality time with family. I am married and have two children.
