  • Why did you select Kaweah Delta’s residency program? After performing a medical student clerkship in the emergency department during my fourth year of medical school I realized that this was going to be a stellar program. From the faculty to the facility and the diverse patient pathology, I knew that Kaweah Delta would provide me with the well rounded graduate medical education that is required to become a stellar emergency physician.
  • Why did you choose your specialty? I chose emergency medicine because I like working in a fast paced, high energy, team work driven department. Emergency medicine gives me the opportunity to take care of a wide variety of patient’s all while making a dramatic difference in a someone’s life, during quite possibly, one of their worst days. As a flight paramedic prior to attending medical school I was able to see how high quality emergency care affected the patient’s hospital course and overall outcome. This combined with the varied patient severity is what draws me to and fuels my passion for emergency medicine.
