History
Kaweah Kids Center was established in 1986 to provide Kaweah Delta employees with quality childcare. We recognize the role quality childcare plays in the selection of an employer. With that in mind, Kaweah Kids was developed and continues to meet the needs of the families or our employees. We accept children ages six weeks to five years.
Philosophy and mission statement
At Kaweah Kids, we believe that children learn best through interactive play. We support the idea that play is a child’s work and offer a curriculum that promotes the child’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development well being.

Staff
We hire teachers who are trained in Early Childhood Education. Our teachers have excellent leadership skills and encourage teamwork to provide a quality educational experience for children. Our staff supports Kaweah Kids philosophy and mission statement as they model behavior that promotes effective communication skills, critical thinking, conflict resolution, and teamwork. Our entire team is dedicated to providing a program that supports the well being of children and families. All staff members have been fingerprinted and given criminal record clearance by the State Department of Justice. Our staff is also certified in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid. Our center is licensed by the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division.
Our program is divided into three age groups: infant, toddler and preschool. Infants 0-2 years old- one teacher to four infants,
Young toddlers 2-2 ½ years old- one teacher to five children,
Older toddlers 2 ½ -3 years old- one teacher to eight children,
Preschool 3-5 years old- one teacher to twelve children.
Hours of operation
Kaweah Kids is open Monday through Friday, from 5:45 am-6: 45 pm.
We are closed on the following holidays:
New Year’s Eve/Day
President’s Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving and the day after
Christmas Eve/Day
If you would like to schedule a tour of the center you may call 624-2170. Tours are given daily from 9:00-11:00 am or 3:00-5:00 p.m.
