Watch the Kaweah Delta Newsreel

VISALIA – Kaweah Delta Health Care District has released its most recent informational video, the “KD Newsreel” to inform the community about what the district is doing to meet earthquake safety standards and two upcoming community events.  Click HERE to view the 4-minute newsreel at Kaweah Delta’s YouTube Channel.

Earthquake Safety Standards
By 2030, all acute care hospitals in California must meet earthquake safety standards set by SB1953. That means that the Kaweah Delta Mineral King Wing, built in 1969, will either have to undergo extensive reconstruction or be replaced. While Kaweah Delta has concluded it would be wise to invest in replacing the Mineral King Wing, Kaweah Delta has engaged a firm specializing in these matters to confirm the need for a replacement facility.
