There are many resources for health information for patients and their families
available on the Internet.
Here are
a few examples that may be useful:
The Medical Library located on the main hospital campus
maintains a comprehensive collection of consumer health books, videos,
newsletters, magazines, and pamphlets. We encourage our staff, and the medical
staff to make use of this collection. The books and videos may be checked out
at no charge. Pamphlets from such organizations as The American Cancer Society,
The American Heart Association, the various National Institutes of Health, The
StayWell Company, and many others are available.
The library is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. More than 3,600
volumes are housed in the library and we maintain 250 journal subscriptions.
Many electronic databases are also available for patron use. For more
