Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way
Kaweah Delta partners with local orthopedic surgeons to give hips and
knees new life
“When I die, I’ll have eternity to rest.”
That’s what Ted Carney, a salesman for Allied Packaging Corporation
in Goshen, has always said. But in his 60s, he was resting more than he wanted.
Ted is anything but resting after two successful knee replacements at
Kaweah Delta Medical Center. “Having my knees replaced was the best
decision I ever made,” Ted says.
After an old football injury left him barely able to walk, work, and sleep,
the 65-year-old opted for knee replacements in 2015 and 2016, with Dr.
Ian Duncan, a local orthopedic surgeon.
“I was at a point where I couldn’t function,” he said.
Without knee pain, Ted is now back to his active life as a salesman. He
is driving long distances for sales, helping out around the warehouse,
and looking forward to playing golf again.
Dr. Duncan wowed him and so did his Kaweah Delta experience.
